There is something especially romantic about a fall wedding. Maybe it is the rich hues of the season or the brisk weather that makes up snuggle up with the people we love. For this wedding styled shoot, we were inspired by the short, dark days of fall to create something a little extra dark and moody.
Imagine a post-apocalyptic world where plants had run wild in the city and people are scarce. We found beauty in the wildness and created a wedding out of the chaos. Because in the end love conquers all, even the end of the world.
We loved the way the deep plums and bright golden yellows worked together to create a rich and elegant tablescape.
Two of the biggest DIYs we did for this shoot were the wax dripped wine bottles and the candy apple place card holders (tutorial coming soon). We love the way they add texture and height to the table.
One of our favorite details was the vintage cold-war era propaganda posters under the clear plates. We loved the color the posters added and also loved that they added interest to an otherwise simple plate.
The Clocktower was an absolutely stunning and unique venue. The clock face added an almost fairytale-like element of timelessness (excuse the pun).
Our stationery set was handmade by Amy Zhang. We love the simple design with burnt edges and a little something extra as the envelope liner.
We wanted a unique wedding cake and Lisa at A Cake Come True did a perfect job creating a concrete and geode inspired cake.
Part 2 of this styled shoot will be coming to the blog later this week.
Thank you to all of our vendors, especially Chelsea, Sarah, and Adrienne at A Touch of Bliss. This styled shoot was part of an internship we completed at A Touch of Bliss.
