Hometown: I was born in Henderson, Nevada, but spent most of my childhood in Northern California until I moved to Colorado at age 13 and I’ve been here ever since!
Birthday: August 17. I don’t put much stock in zodiac signs, but I’m such a Leo…
Love Language: Gifts! There is nothing I love than getting thoughtful gift, except maybe giving the perfect gift.
Enneagram: 5… What can I say, I love me a good library…
What fires me up: Taylor Swift music, Italy, old churches, scented candles, a good skin care routine, chai lattes, top knots, statement earrings, and of course, champagne.
You would be surprised to know: In college I majored in world religions and minored in math. I was also 1 credit short of a both a dance minor and a classics minor.
Favorite class I took in college: My favorite class was the art history class I got to take in Florence, Italy. It was one of the most incredible experiences of my life which included learning how to paint frescos, a tour of a several hundred year old library, and so much wine and gelato.
My favorite type of event to plan: This is challenging to answer because every event I’ve ever worked on has had it’s own joys and challenges. But I probably have to say weddings, because it’s such a gift to be a part of a couple’s special day.
Best part of event planning: There is nothing in the world better than seeing people enjoy an event you spent months planning. It’s incredible to see all the little details come together and to see what all the vendors bring into the day!
What I do in my spare time: I’m a little bit of a homebody, so some of my favorite things to do when I have a little extra time include podcasts and reading. I also love going on long walks with my labradoodle. My favorite night out would include drinks and the ballet.
The cause/organization/charity that most captures my heart: My deepest passion is for women’s education. My education (both high school and college) profoundly shaped the person I am today. I feel incredibly strongly that women around the world should have access to the same opportunities. One of my favorite organizations that focuses on this is the Malala Fund.
My dream event: This changes on the regular, but most recently I’ve been day dreaming about planning a pop-up shop/ instagramable experience for James Charles (the youtube beauty guru). It’s a little random, but I love the idea of creating a physical space that embodies an online creator’s world for their audience to actually get to live in for a little while.
Also Taylor Swift’s wedding, if anyone knows anyone…
