August Favorites

What to do at a Wedding Besides Dancing- I absolutely loved compiling this blog post last week full of lots of alternatives to dancing. Whether you are looking for a more socially distanced wedding option, or if you just aren’t the dancing type, I hope this blog post gives you some ideas.

Bar Dough- August was my birthday month and I took the opportunity to eat at a restaurant for the first time since March! I had an amazing brunch on the patio at Bar Dough. It was delightful!

Carbonara- The weather here in Denver has started to cool off this past week (is that fall in the air?) and I’ve been fully embracing it! Last Friday, I made this simple carbonara, which was the perfect cozy comfort food.

Halloween Pins- The cooler weather has my mind already in fall mode! I absolutely love the holidays and I’m excited to get into the spooky Halloween mindset. I’ve already started pinning the cutest Halloween ideas and am planning some fun blog posts for October.

IG Reels- I mentioned my love for Tik Tok in a favorites posts a few months ago. I’m very interested to see where Instagram Reels takes a similar type of content. From what I can tell, it tends to be significantly more curated than Tik Tok, but I’ve enjoyed sharing some Reels of my own!

Leaves- Its fall. I understand that it’s barely September, but fall is my favorite season and it always feels too short! As soon as the weather started to cool down (80 degree days instead of 90) I pulled out the classic Bath and Body Works scent!

S’mores Board- This blog post has been getting a lot of traction recently! I think people are taking advantage of the last warm nights.

Midnight Sun- There are two books on my list this month because I read a ton in August! I finished 10 books in total (which is double what I normally read!). The first book is Midnight Sun, which is Twilight from Edward Cullen’s perspective. I read the Twilight books when I was in high school and I loved them so much. I was very excited when Stephenie Meyer announced she was finally releasing Midnight Sun. I will always have a soft spot in my heart for the Twilight universe and I enjoyed every page of this book.

Such a Fun Age- If you are looking for a more enriching read, I also loved Kiley Reid’s Such a Fun Age this month. I loved the characters and found myself deeply connected to both of the main characters.
